When I told Naty that I thought Ethan will be born on Tuesday, I was just guessing. Boy was I right! I was real bummed about not being there for the birth but at least I got to hear it thanks to my professionally chismosa Mommy. He’s sooo cute and funny already When he cries he turns red from head to toe but he calms fast and loves to sleep so far. Naty is a natural at this mom business (and Bryan too). I think they will do awesome with Ethan. It sucks that I won’t be seeing him until March but there’s always skype.
Now my Daddy on the other hand, is still at Baptist and hopefully will get out on Friday. Poor Daddy has not been able to see Ethan in person yet. I still can’t get over that he had a stroke. I don’t see him as an old fogie just yet. Luckily for him, it didn’t affect him as bad as most people get- he will just need physical therapy for his hand and stuff. Maybe he’ll learn to write with his right hand. He’ll be “normal”. Well he is doing well though so make sure you text him (it’s boring in the hospital).

So yeah, lots and lots going on and we are also in the process of getting Luke’s room ready and the guest room (for the grandparents) so we will be posting a before and after pic of both rooms. Meng this baby thing is a lot of work and he is still inside my belly!

We are delighted to announce that Isabela has a page! Isabela turned one a week ago, so Miguel and Yohanna decided to capture this moment by having us take her pictures. We had a blast during her photo shoot and with that adorable smile, she made our jobs easier. To see more photos click here.

Soooooo it’s been a while since my last update, and i finally have a belly! it’s the coolest. since i got pregnant, i lost 8 pounds and i was worried that i wasn’t showing or anything but come week 16, and my belly popped out! i think i finally am gaining weight… like 2-3 pounds so far but i’m sure that will start increasing soon. yesterday was a big day for us, we were excited about finding out what the sex was but mostly i just wanted to know that our baby was ok since they were checking all his systems and stuff. i’m happy to report that everything looked good… his brain had all its pieces, the heart was good, the intestines were inside like they should be, etc. hey working in the nicu can kinda make you a tad paranoid (ok a lot). we see all that can go wrong with a pregnancy so it’s easy to forget that there is an overwhelming number of babies who are born healthy compared to sick. i was very grateful that Lucas was ok . when the sonographer was looking at Lucas’ boy area, she was like oh yup can you guess what the sex is? and there was his peeny all out and proud. we didn’t even seem surprised. it’s like we knew all along. so cool.
well other things to share…. my bday is coming up and ill be spending nov 4 (wed) thru nov 8 (sun) in the 305! now even though miami can be one big chusmeria at times, i love my family and friends and it’s fun to visit! on wed, nov 4 were gonna see mutemath in concert with naty and bryan! how dope! i also can wait to meet jayden! on friday i’m hoping to celebrate my bday by chillin with some of my friends at my crib or something…. we’ll see.
